Where is Buddy Bites made?
All Buddy Bites Kibble is made in Europe and regulated to AAFCO standards. You might have even seen the video of Ryan eating our food. We didn't ask him to do it, but it's safe to do so and he's a bit weird.
What is the shelf life of the kibble?
The shelf life of Buddy Bites is around 18 months, with the use by date printed on the back of the packaging.
What is AAFCO?
The Association of American Feed Control Officials set the global standards for quality pet food. They are a regulatory body based in the U.S. and we make sure to stay in their good books!
How is your product tested?
Buddy Bites is tested straight after production and then again following arrival in Asia by a third party lab. We work alongside our vets to test for all recent recall issues to make sure we are providing the safest pet food we can offer. We test for Salmonella & E. Coli bacteria, Mycotoxins (Ochratoxin & Aflatoxins), Melamine and its metabolites, and excess vitamin D2 & D3 for peace of mind.
What food is good for a small dog?
For smaller breeds, we recommed the duck recipe as it is the smallest kibble size we offer for adults (10mm diameter).
How do I know how much to order for my dog?
Take a look at our daily recommended feeding guideline (grams per day) as per recipe corresponding to your dog's weight. Adjust as needed if your dog is on the skinnier or chunkier side.
Is Buddy Bites grain free?
No, we include grains in all of our recipes. 'Good' grains are carbohydrates which are an important part of a dog's diet, as they are omnivores. There are ongoing investigations into the links between grain-free recipes and DCM (dilated cardiomyopathy). Whilst the investigations are not concluded, we prefer to avoid grain-free for now.
How much does the Buddy Bites scoop hold?
Each Buddy Bites scoop holds around 110 grams.
What is the kibble size?
Our kibble sizes range from 10-14mm to suit dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes. Our smaller kibble is suitable for smaller breeds and older dogs with less teeth who still enjoy eating kibble. Our larger kibble is suitable for larger dog breeds and dogs who need more encouragement to chew to aid digestion. The kibble size of each recipe can be found on each product page on our website.
What is a novel protein?
Novel proteins are proteins that have appeared in dog's diets less over the years and are therefore less likely to trigger allergies. We use novel proteins in our Adult recipes.

What are the benefits of subscribing?
Convenience and cold hard cash! By subscribing you receive a 15% discount on every order and the convenience of not having to go back into the website to order every month. It just arrives at your door as if by magic. On top of that we throw some extra goodies with your first order when you subscribe.
Is the subscription flexible?
Absolutely! Our subscriptions are purely for convenience, they are completely flexible. You can pause, edit or cancel any time without charge. You can change flavour, delivery date, frequency all in just a few clicks. Plus you will have dedicated support via email or Whatsapp if you have any questions or need anything changed.
How can I use the dedicated support?
Buddy Bites subscription support team is here for you via Whatsapp and email to help with any and all things Buddy Bites. E.g. Swap products, change order frequency, change address... We can help with all of the above and more and we welcome any photos of your dog!
What kind of payment is accepted?
We accept all major credit cards, Alipay, WeChat Pay and Paypal that can accept recurring payments.
When do deliveries come?
Your order should arrive 2-3 working days from payment (unless you've paid for same day delivery). We delivery Monday to Saturday. Your order will include a tracking number and you will get a message from your delivery driver prior to the arrival of your food in case you are not in.
Can I change flavour?
You sure can! When you subscribe you will get an email helping you to set up an account. From there you can change the flavour, or anything else including recurring dates, amount, and more. If you have any trouble email or Whatsapp us with any questions. We will respond quick as a greyhound.

Can I change frequency?
Absolutely! Have a look at the feeding guidelines before you order, however not everyone get's it right first time. So you can log into your account and customize your order from there. If you have any trouble email or Whatsapp us for help!

When will I receive my order?
Free standard shipping takes 2-3 days, including outlying islands. We also offer same-day delivery for an added fee to addresses in Hong Kong island, Kowloon, and some parts of New Territories. Contact us to find out more.

How much does delivery cost?
We offer free standard delivery for orders over $250. Orders under $250 will be charged $60 shipping fee for standard delivery, including outlying islands. Same-day delivery orders of over $250 have an added shipping fee of $60, and for orders under $250 a $90 fee.
Do you offer same day delivery?
Yes! We offer same-day delivery to addresses in Hong Kong island, Kowloon and some parts of the New Territories. The fee depends on your total order amount.
Who does your deliveries?
We partner with external logistics partners Kerry and SF Express to deliver your order straight to your door.
Where do you ship to?
We are available in Hong Kong and Singapore. If you would like Buddy Bites to open up in your city next, let us know!
Any extra charge for outlying islands?
No! We aim to make delivering dog food as easy and convenient as possible to all dogs, which is why we offer free standard delivery to the whole of Hong Kong for orders over $250.
Will I be notified of my deliveries?
Yes! You will receive an Order Confirmation email with a tracking number from our logistics partner to check your order in real time. Our logistics partner will also send you a message on the day of your delivery.
What happens if my parcel is damaged?

What payment options do you have?
We accept PayPal, Google Pay, Alipay, and all major credit cards for one-time and subscription orders. You can choose to pay by WeChat Pay, FPS, and UnionPay for one-time orders.
How do I change my card details?

Is there a charge for subscription?
Subscribing to Buddy Bites is free! Better than that, you save 15% on EVERY ORDER by subscribing!
How does subscription payment work?
Your recurring orders will be charged to the same payment method you used to complete your previous Buddy Bites order. You can change your payment details anytime on your Buddy Bites account via our customer portal. Watch this tutorial video to see how. You will be notified via email 3 days before your orders are due to renew to give you time to make any changes — pause, skip, swap, change the amount of kibble, add products to your upcoming order.
How do I apply discount codes?
Discount codes can be applied at checkout on the right-hand side bar.
Can I apply codes to my subscriptions?
Yes, if you have a useable code. Just login and on the 'manage subscriptions' page there is an option to enter in a discount code on the bottom left. This is where you should apply your discount code from our referral program!
How long do refunds take to process?
You should get a notification immediately and it can take up to 12 working days, but usually between 3-5 depending on the associated bank.
What happens if my card has an error?
