Valentine’s is on our mind and what better way to celebrate than with our true loves—our dogs!
1. Treat them to an extra-special treat—Buddy Bites Dental Sticks
Which dog doesn’t love treats? Treat your dog, whilst caring for their teeth and gums! Buddy Bites Dental Chews have no added sugar and help to prevent tartar build up in those hard to reach spots. Not only that, the vet-chosen ingredients also boosts coat care. What better way to show your pup you love them by caring for them too!
2. Take them for an extra walk
Surprise them with some extra time spent together on your daily walk to make your dog feel loved, or bring them out on a trip to their favourite dog park if you haven’t been there in a while. The walk is not just a good form of exercise but also a great way to bond with them too.
3. Spa day
We know all dogs love lots of pats and scratches but what about a day at the spa to make them feel special? Many grooming stores offers unique services such as spa treatments for your dog to feel relaxed and rejuvenated after. Of course you don’t need to be all fancy to keep your dog happy. Even a simple grooming/brushing or massage will keep you pup just as happy.
4. New Toys
Retail therapy doesn’t just apply to humans but our precious pooches too! Grab your dog a new toy to enjoy or bring them shopping to pick out their own. Wouldn’t you love to see the happiness in their eyes when you hand them a lovely new plush for them to cuddle up. Bet you did not know this but dog can actually see the colour Blue! Probably why lots of our #BuddyBitesCrew have told us how much their pups love our Buddy Bites tennis balls!
5. Photoshoot
Commemorate the day of love with a special photoshoot with your dog! Many self-photo studios in Singapore allow you to bring your pets for a quick photo session! Check out these dog-friendly studios below:
And don’t forget to bring matching outfits for you and your pup. We can’t wait to see the final photos!
6. Have a snuggle sesh
Spend quality time together just curling up on the couch watching a movie or just reading a book. Or just hug your dog real tight for an extra long nap in bed together sure sounds like such a delight.
7. Clean your dog’s stuff
Many parents forget to clean their Dog’s toys and bedding every once in a while. They might do a protest to having their favourite stuffed toys put into the wash but trust me when I say the other humans in the house will probably appreciate it too. Your pup will work very hard to get that “dog scent” back into their belongings again soon enough.
8. Bake your dog a cake
Every special occasion should be celebrated with cake—a puppy approved cake! There are tons of recipes online which you can easily follow but this is one of our favourites here! I mean if you don’t have enough time or are just not confident of your baking skills, check out some of these doggy bakeries we love:
9. Plan a fun day with their BFFs
Organise for them to meet their best furry friends! If you dog loves socialising, bring them out to run around the beach or a dog run with their friends. Discover a brand new spot together they will love exploring and taking in all the new sights or sounds.
10. Make a donation
Leave a legacy in your dog’s name by making a donation to your local dog shelter. Find an organisation that feels right for the two of you or somewhere you were first introduced to your furry best friend. Buddy Bites works with 7 shelters across both Singapore and Hong Kong donating food through your purchases. But there are tons of other items needed by shelters to keep them running smoothly. Check with your local shelters to see if there is anything you can do to help them with.
